Why do drones use high-voltage drone batteries? What are the advantages of lithium batteries for high-voltage drones?
1. High discharge platform
The high-voltage drone battery discharge platform is higher.
The median voltage of the discharge of the high-voltage battery 1C is 3.8V, while the median voltage of the discharge of the ordinary battery 1C is 3.7V, which is lower than the voltage value of the high-voltage battery.
2. High energy density
The high-voltage battery has a higher energy density. Now compare with 12S 16000MAH 25C battery:
Energy density of high voltage battery: 3.8V*12S*16AH/4KG=182.4WH/KG
Energy density of ordinary battery: 3.7V*12S*16AH/4KG=177.6WH/KG
3. More capacity released
Under the same load and alarm voltage, the high-voltage drone battery discharges more capacity, while most of the ordinary batteries are not discharged.
It is also used for the 10KG plant protection drone test. The batteries are 12S 25C 16000MAH, and the same alarm voltage is 3.7V, which is 22.2V or 44.4V. The output capacity of the high-voltage battery is 9280MAH, while the output capacity is only 75200mah.
Four, high current measurement
High-current discharge, the voltage of the high-voltage drone battery drops more slowly.
Single-chip battery discharge actual measurement: After fully charged and connected to the same 160A load, test its instantaneous dynamic voltage value.
The high-voltage battery 3.8V 16000MAH 20C has a full-charge voltage of 4.35V. After a 160A load is connected, the instantaneous dynamic voltage is 4.02V;
Ordinary battery 3.7V 16000MAH 20C has a full charge voltage of 4.35V. After a 160A load is connected, the instantaneous dynamic voltage is only 3.75V.
From this we can see why we should choose high-voltage UAV battery, because it has stronger endurance and stronger power.
