Product Code: E04
Recommended Application:
Contamination control of PCR and RT-PCR
Product Introduction:
Temperature Sensitive UNG II (TS-UNG II) is obtained through recombinant expression in E. coli. The enzyme can catalyze the release of free uracil from single-stranded and double-stranded DNA containing uracil, but it is inactive against RNA. Compared with conventional UNG enzymes derived from E. coli genes, TS-UNG has higher activity at low temperatures (20°C to 37°C) and is sensitive to temperature and easily inactivated at 50°C, avoiding the degradation of dUTP-containing amplification products by residual activity of conventional UNG enzymes after inactivation at room temperature. Therefore, TS-UNG II can not only be better applied to PCR contamination prevention reactions but also match well with RT-PCR amplification procedures for use in RT-PCR contamination prevention reactions.
